In a rapidly expanding world of battery solutions, we see it as our responsibility to always being able to offer a more environmentally friendly alternative. No matter whether it is a rechargeable battery, an Ecolabelled alkaline battery or a complete solar-powered solution.
Focusing on sustainable projects, especially renewable, ultimately supports a world with less tear and wear and aids in a more effective usage of energy.
Simply put, we work towards a greener and safer life, because we care about what we leave behind.
Our approach to the UN SDGs
Our sustainability strategy is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs provides targets and timelines to the world on where it needs to improve for a better quality of life. We support all of the 17 SDGs, but we focus on the following highlighted as part of our green initiatives.
Our projects
Trine
We are proud to be a long-term investment partner to Trine, a solar investment platform dedicated to providing solar powered electricity to people living in energy poverty.
Trine has since the beginning been able to provide over 2 500 000 people with electricity on 3 continents and avoid over 395 000 tons of Co2. Through Trine we are able to invest and reinvest for a triple bottom line result – for the company, the people and the planet.

Okra Solar
Okra Solar has a vision: To provide clean energy to the almost 1 billion who does not have access to it. We wholeheartedly support this mission and together we have now embarked upon a project: a Li-ion battery storage powered DC microgrid, which is a world’s first, in Cambodia.
Through a grant provided by the Nordic Development Fund (NDF), this project will pave the way for further advances in the usage of Li-ion batteries to provide better energy access to rural communities around the world, with zero downtime. The expected date of the completion of the project is March 2023.
